Mission

In Almaty, thousands of cars sit idle in residential courtyards for more than 20 hours a day. Meanwhile, a guest who has just landed at the airport, a specialist in town for a week or a family heading off on vacation stands in line at a rental desk to get “this class or similar.”

Joldar connects the two sides. Hosts rent out their cars through the app on the days they don’t need them, and renters get a specific car, at a specific price, from a specific person. No middlemen, no offices, no hidden fees.

We are neither a rental company nor an insurance company. We are a marketplace where hosts and renters meet, and where payment, the deposit and document checks are handled safely.

Why Almaty

Almaty is the country’s largest city and its gateway for tourists. Shymbulak, the Kolsai Lakes and Charyn Canyon are all within an hour or two’s drive. Most visitors need their own wheels, not public transport.

Almaty also has the most diverse fleet of private cars in the country, from a Cobalt to a Lexus LX 600. Hosts who want to rent out their cars and people who want to rent one are in the same city. That’s why Almaty comes first. The other cities follow once everything here runs without disputes.

For renters: three steps

• 1. Choose. Enter your dates on the website or in the app and search for a car by class, price, transmission, drive type, instant booking and delivery. Every car page has 8 photos, the rules and reviews of the host.
• 2. Book. In the app you verify your identity once with your ID card, driver’s license and a selfie. With instant booking the trip is confirmed right away; otherwise the host replies within 60 minutes.
• 3. Pick up and go. Meet the host at the agreed place, or have the car delivered to you. At check-in you take photos in the app and get the keys. At the end of the trip you return the car the same way.

For hosts: three steps

• 1. Sign up. Log in to the app with your phone number and complete the document check.
• 2. List your car. Photos, description, rules, price, calendar. The system suggests a price for your car’s class; the final decision is yours.
• 3. Earn. After moderation your car appears in search. You accept requests, and after each trip your earnings are credited to your account. Your share is 70, 80 or 90%, depending on the plan you choose.

We publish only real numbers. This table will be updated as the fleet grows.

Values

• Transparency. The full price breakdown is visible before you book: trip price, service fee, protection plan, delivery. The deposit is held on your card, not charged.
• Evidence. Every dispute is settled with photos: both sides photograph the car at check-in and check-out. Not word against word, but photo against photo.
• People. Our support team is made up of people, not a chatbot. A problem during a trip goes straight to an agent.
• Responsibility. Renters are 21+ with at least 2 years of driving experience. Cars are no more than 12 years old, roadworthy and covered by an OGPO policy (compulsory motor third-party liability insurance). The requirements are equally strict for both sides.
