Top Host is a status for hosts whom renters trust and whom Joldar ranks higher in search.
Who is a Top Host
A Top Host is a host whose trips are consistently rated highly, who doesn’t cancel trips they’ve accepted and who replies quickly. The status can’t be bought, only earned through performance; if performance drops, the status is removed.
Criteria
- 5-star reviews
- 85% or more of reviews in the last 12 months are 5 stars
- Cancellations
- No more than 3% of confirmed trips
- Response time
- An average of 1 hour or less for requests and messages
- Number of trips
- 20 or more completed trips in the last 12 months
All four conditions must be met at the same time. Metrics are calculated over the last 12 months.
Perks
- Badge. A “Top Host” badge on the car card and the car page: renters see it right away in search.
- Higher placement in search. All else being equal, Top Hosts’ cars rank higher in the list.
- Priority support. Questions and disputes during trips are handled without waiting in line.
How the status is calculated
The calculation is automatic and is continuously updated with data from the last 12 months. If any condition isn’t met, the status is suspended; it is restored once your metrics recover. There is no manual granting, no buying and no exceptions.
How to get there: tips
- Photos. At least 8: front 3/4, rear, side, interior, dashboard, trunk. In daylight, against a clean background, with the car washed.
- A clean car. Washed before every trip, with a dust-free, odor-free interior.
- Fast replies. Reply within 1 hour when a message comes in; keep push notifications on.
- An accurate description. If there’s a scratch, mention it and photograph it. No surprises means better reviews.
- Don’t cancel. Honor the trips you accept; if you’re unsure, turn off instant booking and review requests yourself.
- Spell out your rules. If out-of-city trips, smoking, pets and the daily distance limit are stated up front, there won’t be disputes.
- Take check-in and check-out photos carefully. They protect both you and the renter.

If you choose a car with a Top Host badge, the host replies quickly, doesn’t cancel trips, and the car matches its description. It’s the most reliable choice on Joldar.
