Driving an EV in Almaty: tips for Tesla and Zeekr renters

The first electric cars have arrived on Joldar: the Tesla Model Y and the Zeekr 001. Both are all-wheel drive and go more than 400 km on a single charge.
Almaty has fast-charging stations at shopping malls and large gas stations, and the host points out the nearest ones in the app. In winter the range drops by 20–30%, so keep that in mind when heading to the mountains.
The rule is simple: return the car with the same charge level as when you picked it up. If there’s a difference, the host requests reimbursement with a receipt, just like with gasoline.
If you just want to try an EV once, a one-day trip is enough: driving around the city with no noise or vibration is a whole different experience.
