How the deposit works: the money is never charged to your card

A deposit is not a payment but a temporary hold on your card. At check-in, the bank “freezes” the deposit amount: 30 000 ₸ for economy, 50 000 ₸ for comfort, 70 000 ₸ for business and minivans, 80 000 ₸ for SUVs, and 150 000 ₸ for premium cars priced at 60 000 ₸ per day or more. For drivers under 25 the amount is 1.5 times higher. The money stays in your account; Joldar doesn’t take it.

Once the trip is over and the check-out photos are confirmed, the system waits 3 business days. If there is no damage, fine or unpaid extra cost (fuel, late return), the hold is removed in full.

If there is a claim, only the actual amount is kept: for example, if 12 000 ₸ is deducted for fuel on a comfort car, the remaining 38 000 ₸ of the 50 000 ₸ deposit is released right away. Every deduction is backed by photo evidence and a receipt; the guest can see it in the app and dispute it within 48 hours.

You’ll see the hold disappear from your card within 1–5 business days, depending on your bank.
